The Winter Passport

How to enter

For the chance to win, get your competition passport from the Information Kiosk, Information Centre, satellite site (Woolworths, Lower Level, Victoria Wharf) or any promotional staff.

All you then have to do is visit the V&A Waterfront four times before 31 August 2011. Each time you visit, get your competition passport stamped at the Information Kiosk, Information Centre, satellite site (Woolworths lower level) or by any promotional staff. Once you have collected four stamps, complete the entry form in your passport and drop it in the Get Away with the V&A competition entry box. Please note that you can only get one stamp per day and you may only enter twice.

At the end of the competition, ten names will be drawn. If yours is one of them, you and your partner will be invited to join us for the prize-giving event. Make sure your bags are packed, as you'll get to spend an indulgent night at The Queen Victoria Hotel and receive R500 V&A Waterfront Gift Vouchers to spend at a restaurant or shop of your choice. On the night, the winners of the grand prize, a luxurious getaway to the Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia, will be announced.

• 1. TERMS & CONDITIONS
• 1.1 The competition starts on 5 July 2011 and closes at 21h00 on 31 August 2011. No late entries will be accepted.
• 1.2 The competition is open to South African citizens and Residents only.
• 1.3 Entrants must be over the age of 18 years and must be in possession of a valid passport.
• 1.4 The following persons are excluded from this competition and may not participate –
• 1.4.1 a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant to Lexshell General Trading 44 (Pty) Ltd ("Lexshell") or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Lexshell; and
• 1.4.2 a supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition; and
• 1.4.3 the spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members of the parties referred to in 1.4.1 and 1.4.2.
• 1.5 If you have won any V&A Waterfront competition within the last 30 (thirty) calendar days, you may not participate in this competition.
• 2. HOW TO ENTER
• 2.1 Collect your "V&A passport" from any of the following sites at the V&A Waterfront –
• 2.1.1 the information centre (from 09h00 to 18h00);
• 2.1.2 the information kiosk (from 09h00 to 21h00);
• 2.1.3 the satellite site situated outside Woolworths, lower level, Victoria Wharf (the operational times for the satellite site can be found here); or
• 2.1.4 from any promotional staff in the Victoria Wharf.
• 2.2 Collect stamps in your V&A passport on your subsequent visits to the V&A Waterfront (from the same sites and promotional staff as set out above). Participants may not collect more than one stamp per day.
• 2.3 Once you have collected 4 (four) stamps, hand in your V&A passport, with your required details completed thereon, at –
• 2.3.1 the information centre (from 09h00 to 18h00); or
• 2.3.2 the information kiosk (from 09h00 to 21h00).
• 2.4 Only 2 entries per person will be allowed.
• 2.5 All entries received that are incomplete, damaged, defaced, or illegible will be void.
• 3. WINNER SELECTION
• 3.1 Ten finalists will be chosen via a random draw. These finalists will be notified by telephone. If those chosen as finalists cannot be contacted after three attempts to do so, such finalists will forfeit their place and a new finalist will be drawn.
• 3.2 The winner will not be chosen via a random draw. Instead, finalists will be required to attend an event on 17 September 2011 where they will participate in a quiz to determine the winner. The questions will be based on information provided at the event. Finalists who answer incorrectly will be eliminated.
• 3.3 Finalists must attend the event in person and participate in the quiz in order to be eligible for the prize. All costs incurred by the finalists in getting to the event on 17 September 2011 shall be for their own account.
• 3.4 The winner will be announced on 17 September 2011 at the event.
• 3.5 Finalists and the prize winner agree that we may publish and use your names in advertising and promotional campaigns or digital media in relation to this and other promotional competitions, without any compensation. We may request you to participate in marketing activities but you may decline such invitation.
• 4. PRIZES
• 4.1 The grand prize in this competition is –
• 4.1.1 a four-night stay (on a bed and breakfast basis) at the Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia, including flights from Cape Town/Johannesburg to Zambia, airport taxes, hotel transfers and essential vaccinations (all additional costs will be for the prize winner's own account);
• 4.1.2 his and hers Louis Vuitton tote bags;
• 4.1.3 his and hers jewellery courtesy of Kamaldien Jewellers;
• 4.1.4 Fuji FinePix Z700 camera courtesy of Digital Eye;
• 4.1.5 a R3000.00 (three thousand rand) gift voucher courtesy of Cape Union Mart Adventure Centre; and
• 4.1.6 a R3000.00 (three thousand rand) gift voucher from Poetry.
• 4.2 You may not win a prize if it is unlawful for us to supply such a prize to you. If you do win such a prize, you will forfeit it.
• 4.3 You must obtain and possess, at your cost and expense, whatever documents and permissions may be required in order to accept and use a prize, these documents and permissions must remain valid in such minimum form and for such minimum period after the prize date as may be required by the relevant authorities.
• 4.4 Prizes will be awarded to the prize winner at the event on 17 September 2011.
• 4.5 The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be converted into cash.
• 4.6 Proof of identity will be required to collect a prize and we reserve the right to refuse payment or handing over of a prize to any potential winner who refuses to, or cannot provide sufficient documentation to verify their identity.
• 4.7 We may require you to provide us with additional information as we may reasonably require in order to process and facilitate your acceptance and/or use of a prize.
• 4.8 The prize must be redeemed before 30 November 2011 and is subject to specific days of travel.

• 5. GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION
• 5.1 Each finalist may bring along one guest to the event. Both the finalist and the guest are requested to pack a bag suitable for an overnight stay.
• 5.2 You may obtain a copy of the competition rules from the website or from Fabian January in our Marketing Department at the V&A Waterfront Head Office on business days during working hours.
• 5.3 In the event of unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond our reasonable control, we reserve the right to cancel this competition, or to change the rules at our discretion or to change the prize(s) at any time without notice to you.
• 5.4 The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• 5.5 Income and other taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
• 5.6 Each entrant agrees not to submit any entry that infringes any third party intellectual property rights, or any other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or confidentiality obligations, or otherwise violates applicable law.
• 5.7 All entries become the property of Lexshell and will not be acknowledged or returned.
• 5.8 Neither Lexshell nor its directors, members, employees, agents or representatives shall be liable for any loss or damage suffered by participants as a result of participating in the competition, save where such loss or damage is a result of the grossly negligent or intentional acts of Lexshell and/or its directors, members, employees, agents or representatives.
